Wheatstone’s WheatNet-IP technology eliminates the need for expensive audio cards while providing maximum flexibility. PC's running the Wheatstone driver is capable of multiple simultaneous Inputs and Outputs giving the user scalability for today’s growing demands. Wheatstone is partnering with the leading manufacturers of audio delivery systems to ensure compatibility.



Monitoring Applications

With the Wheatstone WDM driver installed a General Manager or Program Director can monitor any source in the WheatNet-IP Networked Audio System over a standard PC using a free player such as Winamp.



Audio Quality

WheatNet-IP technology transports streams of full bandwidth 24-bit stereo audio at sampling rates of 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz over a 1000Mbpsfull duplex Ethernet connection. Using RTP (Real Time Protocol) a time stamp and sequence number is created and attached to allow the receiving end to reassemble the packets in the proper order.



Interfaces

Start with a single BLADE as a 16x16 router, add a studio control surface with two or three BLADEs and a Gigabit Ethernet switch, then expand your WheatNet-IP network to thousands of channels. All BLADEs are designed to interface seamlessly with Wheatstone’s existing Evolution series Console Control Surfaces, the Wheatstone GLASS-E Virtual Console, Wheatstone console control panels, most of the popular automation systems, and streaming audio.

WheatNet-IP’s NAVIGATOR Administration and Control Software and web interface let you further customize and control your system, locally or remotely.
